May 2013

  1. Monthly production of primary steel and pig iron decreased 6.5% in May 2013 to 930,730 metric tonnes.
  2. In the same month, the total disposition of shipments of rolled steel products decreased 3.8% to 956,171 metric tonnes.
  3. Between April 2013 and May 2013, production of steel pipe and tubing decreased 12.6% to 152,325 metric tonnes.
  4. Total monthly shipments of steel wire and specified wire products increased 4.7% to 40,324 metric tonnes in May 2013.
