March 2013

  1. Monthly production of primary steel and pig iron increased 7.9% in March 2013 to 1,130,870 metric tonnes.
  2. In the same month, the total disposition of shipments of rolled steel products increased 9.7% to 1,040,575 metric tonnes.
  3. Between February 2013 and March 2013, production of steel pipe and tubing increased 9.0% to 191,401 metric tonnes.
  4. Total shipments of steel wire and specified wire products decreased 0.5% to 37,362 metric tonnes in March 2013.
