October 2012

  1. Monthly production of primary steel and pig iron increased 0.1% in October 2012 to 1,118,688 metric tonnes.
  2. In the same month, the total disposition of shipments of rolled steel products increased 3.1% to 1,006,715 metric tonnes.
  3. Between September 2012 and October 2012, production of steel pipe and tubing increased 3.1% to 204,511 metric tonnes.
  4. Total shipments of steel wire and specified wire products increased 8.5% to 35,649 metric tonnes in October 2012.
