September 2012

  1. Monthly production of primary steel and pig iron increased 0.9% in September 2012 to 1,117,811 metric tonnes.
  2. In the same month, the total disposition of shipments of rolled steel products increased 0.7% to 976,771 metric tonnes.
  3. Between August 2012 and September 2012, production of steel pipe and tubing increased 29.3% to 198,339 metric tonnes.
  4. Total shipments of steel wire and specified wire products decreased 11.3% to 32,845 metric tonnes in September 2012.
