February 2012

  1. Monthly production of primary steel and pig iron decreased 3.6% in February 2012 to 1,144,854 metric tonnes.
  2. In the same month, the total disposition of shipments of rolled steel products decreased 3.3% to 986,549 metric tonnes.
  3. Between January 2012 and February 2012, production of steel pipe and tubing increased 2.2% to 206,619 metric tonnes.
  4. Total shipments of steel wire and specified wire products increased 6.1% to 40,753 metric tonnes in February 2012.
