December 2011

  1. Monthly production of primary steel and pig iron increased 11.4% in December 2011 to 1,044,252 metric tonnes.
  2. In the same month, the total disposition of shipments of rolled steel products increased 6.3% to 966,486 metric tonnes.
  3. Between November 2011 and December 2011, production of steel pipe and tubing decreased 10.5% to 188,472 metric tonnes.
  4. Total shipments of steel wire and specified wire products decreased 18.7% to 28,202 metric tonnes in December 2011.
