April 2011

  1. Monthly production of primary steel and pig iron decreased 2.7% in April 2011 to 1,167,603 metric tonnes.
  2. In the same month, the total disposition of shipments of rolled steel products decreased 8.1% to 989,402 metric tonnes.
  3. Between March 2011 and April 2011, production of steel pipe and tubing decreased 17.5% to 170,946 metric tonnes.
  4. Total shipments of steel wire and specified wire products decreased 22.8% to 50,789 metric tonnes in April 2011.
