January 2011

  1. Monthly production of primary steel and pig iron decreased 6.5% in January 2011 to 1,051,127 metric tonnes.
  2. In the same month, the total disposition of shipments of rolled steel products decreased 0.1% to 1,036,931 metric tonnes.
  3. Between December 2010 and January 2011, production of steel pipe and tubing decreased 2.3% to 192,987 metric tonnes.
  4. Total shipments of steel wire and specified wire products increased 21.7% to 52,759 metric tonnes in January 2011.
