August 2009
- Monthly production of primary steel and pig iron increased 24.5% in August 2009 to 733,067 metric tonnes.
- In the same month, the total disposition of shipments of rolled steel products increased 17.8% to 735,473 metric tonnes.
- Between July 2009 and August 2009, production of steel pipe and tubing increased 14.6% to 109,914 metric tonnes.
- Total shipments of steel wire and specified wire products increased 4.2% to 34,884 metric tonnes in August 2009.
