Compiled by principal consuming industries, according to distribution of shipments reported by iron and steel mills.

Effective January 2000, producers have changed the way they report hot rolled products. The result is a change in definitions. Plates including plates for pipes and tubes becomes plates. Hot rolled sheet and strip becomes hot rolled sheets and coils and now includes all hot rolled flat products in coils, regardless of thickness.
