- Monthly production of primary steel and pig iron decreased 1% in February 2009 to 801,581 metric tonnes.
- In the same month, the total disposition of shipments of rolled steel products increased 2.8% to 773,967 metric tonnes.
- Between January 2009 and February 2009, production of steel pipe and tubing decreased 20.2% to 149,099 metric tonnes.
- Total shipments of steel wire and specified wire products increased 3.4% to 36,801 metric tonnes in February 2009.
