October 2008
- Monthly production of primary steel and pig iron decreased 20.7% in October 2008 to 1,062,649 metric tonnes.
- In the same month, the total disposition of shipments of rolled steel products decreased 8.0% to 1,084,177 metric tonnes.
- Between September 2008 and October 2008, production of steel pipe and tubing decreased 7.0% to 215,301 metric tonnes.
- Total shipments of steel wire and specified wire products decreased 5.5% to 42,847 metric tonnes in October 2008.
