September 2008
- Between August 2008 and September 2008 production of primary steel and pig iron decreased 1.5% to 1,339,618 metric tonnes.
- In the same month, the total disposition of shipments of rolled steel products decreased 2.7% to 1,178,330 metric tonnes.
- Between August 2008 and September 2008, production of steel pipe and tubing increased 15.9% to 231,602 metric tonnes.
- Total shipments of steel wire and specified wire products decreased 0.8% to 45,341 metric tonnes in September 2008.
