August 2008
- Between July 2008 and August 2008 production of primary steel and pig iron decreased 0.3% to 1,360,556 metric tonnes.
- In the same month, the total disposition of shipments of rolled steel products decreased 20.0% to 1,210,872 metric tonnes.
- Between July 2008 and August 2008, production of steel pipe and tubing increased 11.7% to 199,875 metric tonnes.
- Total shipments of steel wire and specified wire products increased 1.6% to 45,694 metric tonnes in August 2008.
