Highlights
December 2007
- Monthly production of primary steel and pig iron rose 2.6% in December 2007 to 1,255,949 metric tonnes.
- In the same month, the total disposition of shipments of rolled steel products fell 17.4% to 1,071,610 metric tonnes.
- Between November 2007 and December 2007, production of steel pipe and tubing fell 17.9% to 192,875 metric tonnes.
- Total shipments of steel wire and specified wire products dropped 29.9% to 33,167 metric tonnes in December 2007.
