The energy sector is an important part of the Canadian economic landscape. The following table provides the most recent data available from the Natural Resource Satellite Account-Human Resource Module (HRM). The Natural Resources Satellite Account (NRSA) provides some information on the number of jobs generated by the sector at the national level. The HRM complements and enhances the analytical capacity provided by allowing for a broader insight into the role of natural resources in the economy by providing more detailed human resource information.
