3. In this table, the total number of farms with livestock does not correspond to the sum of the preceeding columns i.e. the sum of farms storing liquid, solid/semi-solid manure and those not storing manure. The difference is due to the fact that some farms report storing both liquid and solid/semi-solid manure; these farms are taken into account under each manure storage system (liquid and solid/semi-solid). For more detailed calculations, please refer to Appendix 3, Table 1.
