Source water quality, annual medians of untreated surface water — pH by drainage region
Table summary
This table displays the medians of annual minimum, average and maximum pH values for raw surface water drawn for processing by drinking water plants, broken down by drainage region for 2011. The row headers are comprised of the Canada total and the 25 drainage region names. The column headers are comprised of the drainage region code and median pH values, the latter with subheaders of minimum, average and maximum and units of measure of pH units. This table has notes which read "Values were rounded to two decimal places. F denotes that there were too few respondents to calculate a reliable median. Data are from 416 raw surface water sources used to produce 3,988 million cubic metres of drinking water, serving 22.6 million people. Of the remaining surface source water sites, 78 respondents did not sample for pH, 296 did not respond for pH, and 39 reported partial data."

Note(s):
Values were rounded to two decimal places. F denotes that there were too few respondents to calculate a reliable median. Data are from 416 raw surface water sources used to produce 3,988 million cubic metres of drinking water, serving 22.6 million people. Of the remaining surface source water sites, 78 respondents did not sample for pH, 296 did not respond for pH, and 39 reported partial data.
