This area chart covers the period 1990 to 2004 and shows greenhouse gas emissions by category expressed in kilotonnes. The in-home fuel use category was quite stable, decreasing from 40,946 kt in 1990 to 40,605 kt in 2004. The motor fuels use category increased from 55,770 kt in 1990 to 71,873 kt in 2004. The purchase of goods and services category increased from 189,168 kt in 1990 to 209,249 kt in 2004.
