This map displays a geographic overview of domestic goods trade in Canada. The trade flows are bundled together to give a picture of broad geographic patterns, especially East-West trade and trade along the Windsor-Quebec City corridor. Total trade between Greater Economic Regions (GERs) is shown by a blue line between the centres of each region. The darker the line the greater the (bundled) value of trade between the regions; i.e., a solid line means a lot of trade, and a faint, almost invisible line, means not very much trade.
How to use this map

Notes: Data are for 2012. Flows exclude commodities that are primarily moved by pipeline (conventional and synthetic crude oil, natural gas, natural gas liquids and related products, crude and diluted bitumen) and, to preserve the confidentiality of the input-output tables, coal products. No data are available for the territories. Suppressed data for GERs are not shown (see CANSIM Table 386-0004 for more information).
