  • In 2007, there were 1.76 million payroll employees in the manufacturing industry in Canada. By 2009, the number had dropped to 1.49 million. In 2011, 1.48 million were employed in manufacturing.
  • In 2007, Canadian manufacturing workers earned an average weekly wage of $940.61. By 2009, the average wage fell to $917.07. In 2011, it rose to $981.85.
