Notes to users

To provide Canadians with services of the highest quality, the Canadian Economic Observer is updated on an ongoing basis. The content of this issue was slightly increased in HTML and implements the standards and requirements of the Government of Canada’s Version 2.0 of the Common Look and Feel for the Internet (CLF) to be accessible to a larger number of users, while continuing to be free. The PDF version is being discontinued on the Statistics Canada web site, but will be available to people who would like to receive it. We would appreciate your comments by filling in the attached survey A.

Data contained in the tables are as available on March 12, 2010.

Data contained in this publication (unless otherwise specified) are seasonally adjusted.

Some tables contain selected components and thus do not add to the totals. As well, most figures are rounded.

Data in this publication were retrieved from CANSIM† (Official Mark of Statistics Canada for its Canadian Socio-Economic Information Management System), and processed to create a photo-ready copy from which this publication was produced. CANSIM is the Statistics Canada computerized data bank; series published here (as well as other data) are available on computer printouts, tape, diskette or directly via terminal.

The identification numbers at the start of each row of data refer to the CANSIM Identifier for the unadjusted or seasonally adjusted monthly or quarterly data in the column.
