Note to readersTo provide Canadians with services of the highest quality, the Canadian Economic Observer is updated on an on-going basis. The content of the Statistical Summary in this issue was again completely verified and a number of changes were made. First, new Statistics Canada publishing standards have been applied to all tables for consistency with other Statistics Canada products. To improve access for all users, the CANSIM identifiers are no longer listed in a separate column. They are now attached to the labels in both official languages. As usual when new data sources become available, Table 4 on monthly GDP was updated to reflect a new base year. Finally, during this process, an error in CANSIM identifiers used for the year 2005 and 2006 in the “Utilities” and “Trade” series of Table 38 on corporate profits was found and corrected. These changes will also be incorporated in the next release of Catalogue 11-210 Canadian Economic Observer Historical Statistical Supplement. |
