Chart 1 Workaholics tend to work more hours than non-workaholics
This is a bar chart illustrating the number of usual hours worked per week by self-identified workaholics compared to non-workaholics using information from the 2005 General Social Survey and is based in working adults aged 19 to 64 years. The chart indicates that 39% of workaholics reported working more than 50 hours per week compared to 20% of non-workaholics. 58% of self-identified workaholics worked 30 to 50 hours per week compared to 72% of non-workaholics. Finally, 4% of workaholics reported working less than 30 hours per week compared to 8% of non-workaholics.
