Figure 1  Among frequent consumers, television is the staple news sources

This chart illustrates the different sources that frequent consumers of the news 19 years and older use to get news and current affairs information. Among them, 91% used television, 70% used the newspapers, 53%, the radio, 30%, the Internet, and 23% used the magazines. Most of these Canadians consumed more than one source. These data are from the 2003 General Social Survey.
