A broad range of health and mortality determinants are evaluated: demographic and socio­-economic characteristics (age, sex, living arrangements, education, household income, rural/urban residence), health related behaviours (smoking, alcohol consumption, physical activity in leisure time, weight), psycho-social factors (stress, sense of coherence, social support), chronic conditions and frequency of medical consultations.
