Specifically, this study highlights the proportion of women wanting to avoid pregnancy who reported that they and their partner used contraception the last time they had sex, as well as the methods of contraception used. Where possible, results are disaggregated by various characteristics (e.g., immigrant status, age, rurality status) to shed light on contraception use among diverse groups of women in Canada.
