    This Juristat article examines characteristics of police-reported incidents of intimate partner violence among individuals in same-sex relationships. A pooled data set from 2009 through to 2017 is analyzed to examine incident, victim and accused characteristics of intimate partner violence involving same-sex partners. Additional context using self-reported data from the most recent General Social Survey on Canadians' Safety (Victimization) are included to give a more complete picture of the nature of violence which takes place within same-sex relationships, whether it came to the attention of police or not.
