It also provides some directions for future work. This study is part of the Life After Service Studies (LASS) research program. For this income study, information on veterans was linked to the T1 Family File (income data on tax filers and their family) produced by Statistics Canada.

They reflect the circumstances for personnel who may have access to stores or sources of supply that are not available to the general public. These personnel also may have access to certain goods and services that are free of duties or taxes or may be provided with supplies or allowances by the Department of National Defence or the United Nations.
