Canadian health research is performed in universities, teaching hospitals, business enterprises, government laboratories and private non-profit organizations. This research is funded from a variety of sources including public, private, domestic and foreign donors.

    This is the third time the Science, Innovation and Electronic Information Division (SIEID) of Statistics Canada has published an estimate of spending on health R&D in Canada.
