Barriers to accessibility related to behaviours, misconceptions or assumptions: Findings from the 2022 Canadian Survey on Disability

Articles and reports: 89-654-X2025002
Description: This study uses the 2022 Canadian Survey on Disability to explore the experiences of persons with disabilities, aged 15 years and older, with barriers to accessibility that resulted from behaviours, misconceptions or assumptions made about them from different sources in their lives. Progress towards an accessible Canada involves removing barriers within the physical and social environments of persons with disabilities, which requires an understanding of the attitudinal barriers they encounter within their interactions with others.
