The GSS on Caregiving and Care Receiving collects information on Canadians who provide care to family and friends with a long-term health condition, physical or mental disability or problems related to aging. The survey also covers individuals who receive care and provides information about the challenges both groups face. This file provides information on the types and amount of care that caregivers provide, the kinds and amounts of care Canadians receive, and the unmet needs of those who need care but are not receiving it. The file also includes an expanded set of questions that covers the impact of caregiving on various aspects of the lives of caregivers.
