Description: The Indigenous Peoples Survey (IPS) is a national survey on the social and economic conditions of First Nations people living off-reserve, Métis, and Inuit aged 1 year and over in Canada. This public use microdata file has been designed to enable users to access and manipulate survey microdata at the national level.
Notes: The IPS was formerly called the Aboriginal Peoples Survey (APS). Following consultations with Indigenous communities and organizations, Statistics Canada has adopted the term "Indigenous" to refer to First Nations people, Métis and Inuit.
