This analytical report depicts irrigation in Canada: it characterizes Canadian irrigators, estimates water volumes used and presents data on irrigation techniques, irrigation and conservation practices, as well as the sources and quality of the water used in agriculture. Information presented in the report come from the Agricultural Water Survey 2010, conducted as part of the Canadian Environmental Sustainability Indicators initiative.
