Symposium 99 was the sixteenth in the series of international symposia on methodological issues sponsored by Statistics Canada. Each year the symposium focuses on a particular theme. In 1999, the theme was Combining Data from Different Sources. The 1999 symposium was held from May 5 to May 7 in the Simon Goldberg Conference Centre in Ottawa and it attracted over 300 people from 11 countries. A total of 29 papers was presented. Aside from translation and formatting, the papers, as submitted by the authors, have been reproduced in these proceedings.
