The Metropolis Project

The Metropolis Project is a six-year international project designed to investigate immigration integration and the effect that immigration is having on cities. In Canada, the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC) and Citizenship and Immigration (CIC), in collaboration with other government departments and agencies, provide funding to establish four Centres of Excellence ( in Montreal, Toronto, the Prairies and Vancouver) for research on immigration issues.
