Three classes of consulting service are offered:

Product-specific Consulting Services: While the generalised products are licensed to you with a generous amount of bundled on-site orientation services, the Informatics and Methodology Field does offer the possibility of purchasing additional consulting services to address your local problems. This can take the form of additional classroom training for one of the products, technical assistance in implementing an early application, assistance with platform configuration, orientation of new staff, etc.

Application Development Services: The Informatics and Methodology Field's large system development staff is experienced in the design and implementation of a wide range of statistical applications, and can undertake development contracts anywhere in the world. Re-engineering is a specialty. A recent contract involves the development of an "area master file" for the Hungarian Statistical Office. Consider out-sourcing your statistical application development project. The Informatics professionals have the added advantage of direct access to the methodological services of Statistics Canada statisticians.

Management Consulting Services (IT): The senior IT professionals possess considerable international experience in management consulting. They have undertaken many successful consultancies in the past - with other governments, with multi-national corporations, and with international agencies such as the UN, World Bank, ISI, etc. Sample topics include: strategic planning, data modelling, database design, large data-reduction problems, feasibility studies, program evaluation and requirements analysis.
