Investment in non-residential construction for Canada increased 0.7% in April compared with March. Newfoundland and Labrador was up 0.2%, Prince Edward Island was down 2.3%, Nova Scotia was down 1.9%, New Brunswick was up 0.1%, Quebec was down 0.5%, Ontario was up 0.8%, Manitoba was down 0.1%, Saskatchewan was up 0.0%, Alberta was up 1.5%, British Columbia was up 1.8%, Yukon was up 0.4%, the Northwest Territories was down 3.3% and Nunavut was up 1.0%.

Total investment for Canada was $7,137.0 million, total investment for Newfoundland and Labrador was $23.8 million, total investment for Prince Edward Island was $18.5 million, total investment for Nova Scotia was $137.3 million, total investment for New Brunswick was $115.0 million, total investment for Quebec was $1,217.4 million, total investment for Ontario was $2,958.4 million, total investment for Manitoba was $233.7 million, total investment for Saskatchewan was $196.2 million, total investment for Alberta was $1,043.7 million, total investment for British Columbia was $1,145.3 million, total investment for Yukon was $28.1 million, total investment for the Northwest Territories was $4.8 million and total investment for Nunavut was $14.9 million.
