Data from the Labour Force Survey on persons with and without disabilities, 2025
Released: 2026-05-19
Labour Force Survey data tables on the labour market and employment characteristics of persons with and without disabilities have been updated with 2025 data.
Table 14-10-0477 provides estimates of key labour market indicators—such as the employment and unemployment rate—at the provincial and national levels by disability status and socio-demographic characteristics. Table 14-10-0478 provides labour market indicators for different disability characteristics such as severity class and type of disability. Table 14-10-0479 provides employment characteristics—such as employee in the private sector, employee in the public sector or self-employed person—by disability status.
Note to readers
The estimates combine monthly labour market information from the Labour Force Survey (LFS) with the Disability Screening Questions (DSQ). The DSQ were collected as a supplement to the LFS among a subset of respondents who were in their last month of participation in the survey. The tables provide annual estimates that can help track the labour market situation of persons with and without disabilities from 2022 to 2025.
