Annual update of the Longitudinal Immigration Database Express Entry module, 2024

Additional data elements on the Express Entry system, up to and including the year 2024, are now included in the Longitudinal Immigration Database (IMDB) to allow analysis of the economic outcomes of those who apply to this system.

Statistics Canada integrated the Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada data on Express Entry into the 2024 IMDB. The Express Entry system manages immigration applications for skilled workers coming to Canada (Canadian Experience Class, Federal Skilled Worker Program, Federal Skilled Trades Program) and a portion of the Provincial Nominee Program. These applicants' competencies and qualifications were evaluated before admission.
