Household spending estimates in Canada: Survey of Household Spending Data Visualization Tool

Statistics Canada has released the "Survey of Household Spending: Data visualization tool," which provides information on the spending habits of Canadian households for various expenditure categories.

This interactive tool allows users to view and compare the time series average expenditure per household by geography, household tenure, household type and household income quintile. Geographic breakdowns include Canada, the provinces, the regions and the three territorial capitals.

The data used in this tool can be found in the Survey of Household Spending data tables (tables 11-10-0222-01, 11-10-0223-01, 11-10-0224-01, 11-10-0225-01 and 11-10-0233-01). For more detailed spending information not displayed in the data visualization tool, please consult the referenced links.
