Visitor Travel Survey: Public use microdata file, 2023

The public use microdata file (PUMF) for the 2023 Air Exit Survey (AES) component of the Visitor Travel Survey is now available.
This 2023 AES PUMF covers US residents and residents of overseas countries visiting Canada who arrived by commercial air. It contains variables describing various aspects of their travel, including length of stay, type of transportation, purpose of trip, accommodation used, places visited, expenditures by category and trip activities.

Note to readers
More details on the Air Exit Survey (AES) can be found on the Visitor Travel Survey (VTS) page.
A user guide and data dictionary are also available with the AES component of the VTS public use microdata file (PUMF). Bootstrap weights are provided to facilitate variance estimation.
PUMFs contain the individual responses of survey respondents, which have been modified to ensure the anonymity of respondents.
