This is a map of Canada by province and territory, showing the month-to-month percentage changes for investment in residential building construction. Green arrows pointing upward represent an increase, while red arrows pointing downward represent a decrease.
Investment in residential construction for Canada increased 3.1% in June compared with May 2025. Newfoundland and Labrador was down 5.9%, Prince Edward Island was up 1.1%, Nova Scotia was up 4.9%, New Brunswick was down 14.3%, Quebec was up 5.6%, Ontario was up 1.6%, Manitoba was up 1.2%, Saskatchewan was down 3.0%, Alberta was up 4.6%, British Columbia was up 3.1%, Yukon was down 34.3%, Northwest Territories was up 29.5% and Nunavut was up 202.0%.

Total investment for Canada was $15,947.2 million, total investment for Newfoundland and Labrador was $97.2 million, total investment for Prince Edward Island was $84.7 million, total investment for Nova Scotia was $486.0 million, total investment for New Brunswick was $260.7 million, total investment for Quebec was $3,658.7 million, total investment for Ontario was $5,864.2 million, total investment for Manitoba was $521.0 million, total investment for Saskatchewan was $354.3 million, total investment for Alberta was $1,952.8 million, total investment for British Columbia was $2,536.6 million, total investment for Yukon was $11.4 million, total investment for Northwest Territories was $14.8 million and total investment for Nunavut was $104.8 million.

Single homes: Market share was 32.2% and total investment totalled $2,549.1 million, representing a year-over-year increase of 4.5% or $109.8 million.
Semi-detached homes: Market share was 3.1% and total investment totalled $249.3 million, representing a year-over-year increase of 0.1% or $0.2 million.
Row homes: Market share was 9.4% and total investment totalled $743.7 million, representing a year-over-year decrease of 5.5% or $43.2 million.
Condo and rental apartments: Market share was 55.3% and total investment totalled $4,386.1 million, representing a year-over-year increase of 19.9% or $727.2 million.
