Provincial fact sheets on police-reported crime in rural areas, 2023

The Juristat article "Characteristics of police-reported crime in rural areas, 2023: Provincial fact sheets" is now available. This series of provincial fact sheets presents the most recent data on police-reported rural crime in Canada's provinces.
Using data from the Uniform Crime Reporting Survey, each fact sheet examines the nature and extent of criminal incidents reported by police in the rural and urban areas of each province. Differences between the northern and southern regions of each province are also highlighted, where applicable. Characteristics of incidents, victims and accused are discussed, as are trends over time.
