In the third quintile, total consumption is distributed as follows: shelter (31.9%), food (15.6%), transportation (16.0%), household operations, furnishings and equipment (12.4%), health and personal care (6.8%), recreation (6.4%), education (2.0%) and other expenditures (8.9%).
In the fourth quintile, total consumption is distributed as follows: shelter (31.0%), food (15.5%), transportation (16.6%), household operations, furnishings and equipment (12.4%), health and personal care (6.4%), recreation (7.3%), education (2.2%) and other expenditures (8.6%).
In the highest quintile, total consumption is distributed as follows: shelter (32.2%), food (14.6%), transportation (15.9%), household operations, furnishings and equipment (11.9%), health and personal care (6.0%), recreation (7.7%), education (2.9%) and other expenditures (8.8%).
