The concentration ratio used to measure export concentration is the Herfindahl-Hirschman index, which results in values between 0 and 1. A value that is close to 1 (maximum concentration) indicates a very concentrated portfolio of export markets. On the contrary, values closer to 0 reflect a more equal distribution of export market shares.
