In September, investment in non-residential for Canada increased 0.3% compared to August 2024. Newfoundland and Labrador was down 0.3%, Prince Edward Island was down 0.9%, Nova Scotia was down 0.9%, New Brunswick was up 1.2%, Quebec was down 1.8%, Ontario was up 1.2%, Manitoba was down 1.0%, Saskatchewan was up 0.2%, Alberta was up 1.0%, British Columbia was up 0.3%, Yukon was down 3.4%, Northwest Territories was down 7.9%, Nunavut was up 49.5%.

Total investment for Canada was $6,416.9 million, total investment for Newfoundland and Labrador was $30.2 million, total investment for Prince Edward Island was $22.7 million, total investment for Nova Scotia was $106.7 million, total investment for New Brunswick was $96.8 million, total investment for Quebec was $1,305.5 million, total investment for Ontario was $2,714.6 million, total investment for Manitoba was $212.9 million, total investment for Saskatchewan was $148.3 million, total investment for Alberta was $732.8 million, total investment for British Columbia was $1,020.2 million, total investment for Yukon was $15.0 million, total investment for Northwest Territories was $4.4 million, total investment for Nunavut was $6.6 million.

Industrial: Market share was 21.6%, total investment totalled $1,385.1 million, representing a year-over-year increase of 3.0% or $40.5 million.

Commercial: Market share was 50.3%, total investment totalled $3,227.0 million, representing a year-over-year decrease of 1.0% or $31.7 million.

Institutional: Market share was 28.1%, total investment totalled $1,804.8 million, representing a year-over-year increase of 12.1% or $194.2 million.
