In July, investment in non-residential construction for Canada decreased 0.4% compared to June 2024. Newfoundland and Labrador was up 4.0%, Prince Edward Island was up 10.4%, Nova Scotia was up 2.8%, New Brunswick was up 1.0%, Quebec was down 2.0%, Ontario was up 0.5%, Manitoba was down 1.3%, Saskatchewan was down 3.3%, Alberta was down 0.7%, British Columbia was down 0.4%, Yukon was down 4.8%, Northwest Territories was down 6.8%, Nunavut was up 12.3%.

Total investment for Canada was $6,328.0 million, total investment for Newfoundland and Labrador was $29.7 million, total investment for Prince Edward Island was $24.3 million, total investment for Nova Scotia was $106.0 million, total investment for New Brunswick was $94.2 million, total investment for Quebec was $1,355.9 million, total investment for Ontario was $2,628.5 million, total investment for Manitoba was $214.3 million, total investment for Saskatchewan was $148.6 million, total investment for Alberta was $719.3 million, total investment for British Columbia was $981.6 million, total investment for Yukon was $17.0 million, total investment for Northwest Territories was $5.2 million, total investment for Nunavut was $3.3 million.

Industrial: Market share was 21.1%, total investment totalled $1,332.7 million, representing a year-over-year increase of 2.4% or $31.2 million.

Commercial: Market share was 50.5%, total investment totalled $3,194.2 million, representing a year-over-year decrease of 1.5% or $48.5 million.

Institutional: Market share was 28.5%, total investment totalled $1,801.2 million, representing a year-over-year increase of 16.0% or $249.1 million.
