Building permit values in Canada down 13.9% in June compared with May. Newfoundland and Labrador down 4.2%, Prince Edward Island up 95.6%, Nova Scotia down 12.3%, New Brunswick down 24.8%, Quebec down 13.9%, Ontario down 12.8%, Manitoba down 1.8%, Saskatchewan down 24.9%, Alberta down 15.0%, British Columbia down 23.0%, Yukon down 77.7%, Northwest Territories down 48.8%, Nunavut up 1,086.8%.

Residential: The total value was down 11.5% month over month.
Non-residential: The total value was down 18.1% month over month.
Single-family dwellings: the total value was $2,650 million, representing a month-over-month increase of 4.0% or $102.3 million.
Multi-family dwellings: the total value was $3,804 million, representing a month-over-month decrease of 19.8% or $937.1 million.
Industrial: the total value was $601 million, representing a month-over-month decrease of 42.6% or $447.2 million.
Commercial: the total value was $1,794 million, representing a month-over-month decrease of 15.6% or $331.1 million.
Institutional: the total value was $1,073 million, representing a month-over-month increase of 1.0% or $11.1 million.
