Released: 2024-07-24
Statistics Canada is providing an advance estimate of sales in the manufacturing sector for June. Advance results indicate that total manufacturing sales decreased 2.6% in June. The largest decreases were in the chemical product and transportation equipment subsectors.
This estimate was calculated based on a weighted response rate of 71.0%. The average final response rate for the survey over the previous 12 months was 94.4%. As Statistics Canada continues to collect data for the June reference month, this early indicator is subject to a higher revision rate than our regular monthly release.
